Day 01 : Arrive Kolkata
On arrival to Kolkata, assistance at the airport and transfer to hotel.
Rest of the day free to get over the jet lag. Overnight in Kolkata
Day 02 : Kolkata - Bagdogra - Darjeeling
Morning: Transfer to airport in time to connect flight to Bagdogra. On
arrival in Bagdogra, drive to Darjeeling the gateway to Eastern Himalaya.
Overnight in Darjeeling
Day 03 : In Darjeeling
Early morning drive to Tiger Hill to enjoy the breathtaking view of colour
changes during sunrise over snowcapped peaks of Mt. Kanchendzonga Range
visit Batasia Loop, Ghoom Monastery, Tibetian Self-Help Refugee Centre,
Himalayan Mountaineering Institiute, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park. Also
visit a tea garden to watch the tea plantations. Evening walk around the
Mall Area, the heart of the town. Overnight in Darjeeling.
Day 04 : Darjeeling - Pemyangtse
After breakfast drive to Pemyangtse, a calm and quiet hamlet on the lap of
the Himalaya. Afternoon free for independent activities. Overnight in
Pemyangtse.
Day 05 : In Pemyangtse
Early morning short trail to Sangachoeling Monastery you will get the
enchanting view of Mt. Kanchendzonga Range (The 3rd highest mountain in the
world) from the top of the monastery. After breakfast visit one of the
significant monasteries in Sikkim, Pemyangste Royal Monastery (1705 A. D.).
After lunch short drive to Kecheopalri Lake which is called by the wishing
lake surrounded by the dense forest. Overnight in Pemayangtse.
Day 06 : Pemyangtse - Gangtok
Morning: Drive to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. River Teesta will be
your journey mate. Enroute visit Rumtek Monastery, the largest monastery of
its kind outside Tibet. Evening free to gather experience about this capital
city or walk on
your own through the streets of local markets to enjoy the hill culture.
Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 07 : In Gangtok
Morning excursion to Tsamgo Lake (12, 400 Ft) which remains frozen almost
half of the year and an ideal habitat of red panda and other species.
Evening free on your own. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 08 : Gangtok - Bagdogra - Kolkata
After breakfast transfer to Bagdogra airport in time to connect flight to
Kolkata. On arrival in Kolkata, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Kolkata
Day 09 : In Kolkata
After breakfast proceed for a fullday city tour of Kolkata. Late evening:
After a farewell dinner, transfer to airport in time to connect your onward
flight home.
